Mary Valeria Hartz, 96, a 17-year Carson City resident, died Jan. 19, 2007, at her home.
She was born May 19, 1910, in Poland.
She moved to the United States in November 1924. She married Harold Hartz on Aug. 3, 1941, and became a naturalized citizen on Aug. 10, 1966.
Mrs. Hartz managed her husband's apartment building in Chicago before moving to California in 1979, following his death. She moved to Carson City in 1990.
She was a member of the Urantia Society.
Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law Arthur and Tamara Hartz of Carson City and Robert and Thea Hartz of Lisle, Ill.; sister Rita Singer of Garden Grove, Calif.; brother Joseph Liszka of Key West, Fla.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews in Nevada, California and Illinois.
