NEVADA NOTES: Bowman enters the game with a 10-game hitting streak, dating back to last season. He homered twice in the series finale against Saint Mary's College last weekend, and has a .929 slugging percentage after three games ... Nevada did get some decent relief pitching last weeknd. Ben Colton didn't allow an earned run in 2 2/3 innings, Jacob Kaup allowed just one hit in 2 1/3 innings and Kody Keroher won the middle game in relief, alowing no runs and a hit in 1 2/3 innings. The relievers did allow five of nine inherited runners to score ... Two former Nevada players - catcher Jordan Opdyke and outfielder Mike Vass - are currently on the UC Riverside roster. Vass played for Nevada two years ago, and then left for Cypress College.
