A funeral for Andrew Clemenza, 84, a 24-year Carson City resident, will be 3 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m.
Mr. Clemenza died July 13, 2007, in Carson City. He was born to Frank and Anna Clemenza on March 20, 1923, in Pueblo, Colo.
He married Marilyn L. Rushing on March 14, 1970, in Daly City, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Clemenza lived in San Francisco, where he was a firefighter for 32 years before retiring in 1983.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific campaign during World War II.
Clemenza was a member of the firefighters union and enjoyed gardening, fishing and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Mike, Jim, Joe and John Clemenza; and sisters Frances Dionese and Julie Zito.
He is survived by his wife of Carson City; daughters Ann Clemenza of San Francisco, Jeanette Borgo and her husband, Tom, of Pacifica, Calif., Michele Moret and her husband, Mike, of New Westminster, British Columbia, Kathleen Shelter and her husband, Philip, of Redwood City, Calif.; and brother Nick Clemenza and his wife Betty of Dexter, N. M.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Entombment will be at Walton's Carson Garden Cemetery.
