A funeral service for Alice Bernard, 80, a 21-year Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bernard died July 14, 2007, in Carson City.
She was born Feb. 27, 1927, to John Ferreira and Adelaide Rebello in New Bedford, Mass.
Prior to moving to Carson City, Mrs. Bernard lived in Van Nuys, Calif.
She married Malcolm Bernard on Oct. 3, 1954, in Oran, Mo. She graduated from New Bedford High School. She was a bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 18, 1984, in Van Nuys.
Among her survivors are her sisters Lily Santos of New Bedford and Janet Macedo of North Dartmouth, Mass.; nephews and nieces; and many close friends.
Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
FitzHenry's Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
