The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 40-year-old unemployed Ely man was arrested at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000.


• Steven Michael Bacon, 55, retired from Carson City, was arrested at 6:44 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of two counts of felony possession of a prescription drug without a prescription. Bail was set at $2,500.


• A 35-year-old day-care worker from Virginia turned herself in at 5 p.m. on a warrant for suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000.


• A 49-year-old transient was arrested at 4:07 p.m. in the 4200 block of Emerson Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing. Bail was set at $237.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:


• Report of several juveniles on skateboards being loud in the 700 block of Basque Way at 2:43 a.m. Five minors were cited.


• Accident in the 1400 block of East William Street at 12:51 p.m.


• Accident at Sonoma and South Carson streets at 3:10 p.m.


• An 8-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk in the 1400 block of East Long Street at 6:38 p.m. The vehicle, a silver Volvo station wagon, fled the scene. The child suffered stomach and arm injuries.


• A report of a drunken man wearing Rollerblades on the ground outside McDonald's in the 2000 block of North Carson Street at 11:51 p.m.




Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:


• A car on Elm Street in Silver Springs was reportedly "egged" at 7:23 a.m.


• A swamp cooler was reportedly stolen from the 10000 block of Highway 50 East in Mound House at 9:22 a.m.


• Report of a gun stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Artist View Lane in Smith Valley sometime in the last month.


• Report of prescription narcotics stolen from a home in the 200 block of River Road in Mark Twain on Friday.


• Arrest on a traffic warrant at 4:25 p.m. at the Dayton substation.


• Vehicle burglary report in the 1000 block of Redrock Road in Fernley at 5:05 p.m.


• Report of horse tack stolen form the 2900 block of Waegle Way in Fernley at 6:35 p.m.


• Indecent exposure report in the 600 block of Silver Lace Boulevard in Fernley at 7:18 p.m.


• Arrest on Cory Way in Fernley at 7:33 p.m.




Storey County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:


• Report of a dead deer in the middle of Six Mile Canyon Road at 7:32 a.m.


• Traffic citation issued on Waltham Way at 7:33 a.m.


• Arrest on USA Parkway at 8:16 a.m.


• Report of a truck hitting a power pole and exploding on Interstate 80 near the Mustang exit at 10:13 a.m.


• A wallet found on a bench on South C Street was turned in to the sheriff's department at 4:01 p.m.


• Arrest on State Route 341 at 6:01 p.m.


• A caller requested deputies check the front lawn on Canal Road because they were afraid there were two loose bulls there at 8:10 p.m.
