Items sought for Really Big Yard Sale


The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada is hosting its annual Really Big Yard Sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. June 23. Donations of items for the sale are welcome at the museum, 813 N. Carson St., any time between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. between now and June 22. No clothing or large appliances.

Tee up today with the Sunset Rotary


Sunset Rotary of Carson City is holding a charity golf tournament today at Empire Ranch Golf Course. Registration is at 7 a.m. with shotgun start at 8 a.m. Lunch will be served after play. There will be raffle prizes and a scramble. Cost is $100 per person or $400 for a four-person team. The tournament benefits Carson Tahoe Regional Health Care Center.

Trailer Park rockers coming to Brewery


The Brewery Arts Center and X-Ville South present the popular Trailer Park Troubadours, returning to Carson City today and Saturday.


The Trailer Park Troubadours was formed by songwriter and humorist Antsy McClain, who grew up in a small Kentucky trailer park.


The Trailer Park Troubadours appear 7:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall at the Brewery, 511 W. King St. Tickets are $22 for preferred seating, and $18 balcony seating. A $3 discount is available for BAC members, students and seniors. Call 883-1976 or see www.breweryarts.org.


Yard Sale to benefit Roberts House


The Carson City Historical Society begins its monthly flea markets 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Roberts House Museum yard, 1207 N. Carson St. Also, a special sale of contributions not usable in the museum will be from 9 a.m.-noon. Proceeds will be used to build the carriage house. Call 887-8865.

Sip for the Cure today at Tahoe Ridge


The Tahoe Ridge Winery, in conjunction with Greater Nevada Credit Union, will host the Sip for the Cure from 6-9 p.m. today in the Tasting Room at the Tahoe Ridge Winery in Genoa.


It will include a private barrel tasting of the winery's newest release, food and a fundraising raffle. Entertainment will be provided by Carolyn Dolan and Mark Wilson. The price is $45 per person. All proceeds support the area's Relay for Life program. Call for reservations: 886-1329.

Street Vibrations gets spring fever


Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts will rumble into Sparks today and Saturday for Street Vibrations Spring Fever. There will be live entertainment, bike games, competition ride-in shows, poker runs, poker walks and more. The event is free to the public. Motorcycle participants pay a fee.


Poker Run stops are planned at Carson City Harley-Davidson, Reno Harley-Davidson and in Virginia City.


Stunt shows, live entertainment and an all day barbecue are planned at Carson City Harley-Davidson today. The stunt team, "ILL Conduct" will be flying at Carson City Harley-Davidson. Steel Breeze will entertain and an award-winning barbecue team will be cooking all day.


At Reno Harley-Davidson you'll find an open house with live entertainment from the Voo-Doo Dogz, demo rides and vendors.


Virginia City will host a poker walk, live entertainment, VIP bike parking and more.
