A service for Matthew Lee Borchers, 39, a Stateline resident for the past two years, will be 11 a.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Borchers died June 2, 2007, at Stateline. He was born July 1, 1967, in Lodi, Calif., to Charles and Joanne Borchers.
He married Susan Atnip.
Before moving to Stateline, he lived in Reno.
He was a high school graduate.
Mr. Borchers was a cement mason with the Laborers Union.
He enjoyed his children, playing drums, throwing football and dirt biking.
Among his survivors are his wife; daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Todd of Stateline; sons Matthew and Luke; mother; mother-in-law and husband Carollann and Marty Strickland; sister Lori; brothers Pat and Ray, and numerous other family members.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
