Melquiades Rosas, 33, was born in Veracruz, Mexico in 1974. Rosas attended school in Mexico, but only through the second grade.
In September 2001, Rosas enrolled in the English-as-a-second-language program at Western Nevada Community College.
Rosas continued his education at WNCC's ESL program for five years and finished the program in 2006.
Rosas is now a truck driver for Swift Transportation Co. and has traveled most of the Western states.
He brought his truck by the college Friday to show his instructors.
