A memorial service for Pete Ziebell, 59, a Gardnerville resident for the past 31 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Gall Catholic Church.
Mr. Ziebell died June 17, 2007, at his home. He was born Oct. 23, 1947, in Oshkosh, Wis., to Albert J. and Willetta James Ziebell.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Dundee, Ill.
He married Peg Kuchma on Dec. 10, 1977, in Gardnerville.
He attended Oshkosh High School and Wisconsin State University at Oshkosh where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education. He received a master's degree from Mankato State College in Minnesota.
Mr. Ziebell was a real estate broker, high school teacher, football coach and dean of students.
He was a member of the Board of Realtors for 29 years and chaired Professional Standards Grievance Committees and the Douglas Tax Board of Equalization. He won real estate awards; Top Team awards with his wife; Masters Award, C21 Centurian Award and a quality service award.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brothers Jeff and Mike, both of Oshkosh.
Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville; father and stepmother Allie; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Wyatt, of Gardnerville; brothers Jim of Kelseyville, Calif., and John of Oshkosh; sister and brother-in-law Mary and Rick Bowman of Oshkosh and 15 extended family members in Wisconsin, California, Nevada and New York.
Cremation is at FitzHenry's Crematory.
