The Nevada Board of Regents yesterday unanimously selected Dolores A. Sanford to serve as interim president of Truckee Meadows Community College.

She will become president July 1 and serve while the Board of Regents conducts a national search for a permanent president.

Philip Ringle, who has served as the college's president since 2002, recently announced his resignation because of serious health problems.

Sanford will serve as interim president with her current salary of $148,565 plus an additional 10 percent. She will also receive the standard community college presidential annual allowances including a $5,000 host account, $8,000 for an automobile and a $12,000 housing allowance.

She has an MBA from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama.
