The Carson City Sheriff's Department arrested a 25-year-old man Friday after he allegedly robbed Lowe's, threatened a customer with an ice pick and was then tackled by the customer in the store parking lot.
Michael Howard Menke, of Carson City, is being held on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
According to police, Menke pointed the ice pick at the customer who had tried to stop him. The customer then brandished his belt, police said, and chased after Menke.
Police said the customer caught up to Menke and held him until a deputy came.
