Inmate escapes Southern Nevada conservation camp

Inmate Arturo Martinez-Garcia was discovered missing at 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning from the Pioche Conservation Camp, according to officials at the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Martinez-Garcia is a 37-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He's five-feet, nine-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt and Nevada Division of Forestry boots.

He is believed to be traveling south on Highway 93. Before being incarcerated, he lived in Las Vegas.

He was serving a 33- to 84-months sentence for trafficking a controlled substance from Clark County.

He also uses the aliases Juan Guillermo or Juan Iribe.
