'Green Eggs & Hamlet' celebration
The Children's Museum and the Wild Horse Children's Theater will present "Green Eggs & Hamlet" 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. Saturday as a birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss. Gold Dust West in Carson drop-off for Veterans Guest House fundraiser
Those who wish to donate funds to the Veterans Guest House Fourth Annual Radio-Thon, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, but are unable to travel to Reno for the event, will be able to take their donations to the hotel lobby of the Gold Dust West, 2171 Highway 50 East in Carson City.
Members of the Carson City chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America will have a table set up for donations.
Political musical plays at Brewery
"The Fix," a modern musical, is presented by the Proscenium Players at 8 p.m. today and Saturday at in the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St. "The Fix" is a satire on modern American politics.

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at library
There will be a Lunar New Year celebration at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carson City Library's Auditorium. This year's celebration will ring in the Year of the Boar. The Carson Valley Chinese Cultural Group and Chi Kwan Tae Kwon Do will provide entertainment. For information, call 887-2244.
Free pruning program Saturday
Dick Post will give his annual pruning seminar 10 a.m. Saturday at the Greenhouse Garden Seminar, 2450 S. Curry St. At 11 a.m. certified arborist Tom Henderson present a hands-on workshop on pruning.

'Discover Scuba' event Saturday
The High Desert Divers Club and Strictly Scuba Dive & Snorkel Center will hold a free "Discover Scuba" event 12:30-3 p.m. Saturday at the Carson City Aquatic Facility.

Theater group presents 'Charlotte's Web'
Wild Horse Children's Theater and The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada present "Charlotte's Web" at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St.
Show time are 7 p.m. March 9-10, 16-17,23-24 and at 2 p.m. March 10-11, 17-18 and 24-25.
The Children's Literature Association named this "the best American children's book of the past 200 years," and Joseph Robinette, working with the advice of E.B. White, has created a play that captures this work.
This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship with enchanting characters. Ticket prices are $8 for general admission, $5 for students, seniors, members and $3 for ages 2 through 5.

Curves to waive fee for food drive
Curves of Dayton will waive its normal service fee for new members who bring in a bag of nonperishable groceries now through March 10 as part of their annual Curves Food Drive.

Reno Symphony hosts violinist Chang
The Reno Philharmonic joins one of the biggest names in classical music, violinist Sarah Chang, Sunday, March 4 at 4 p.m. and Tuesday March 6 in a concert at 7:30.p.m.
The concert, sponsored by IGT, will also include Bedrich Smetana's Overture to The Bartered Bride, and Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3, known as the Scottish symphony.
