Airport Authority to meet
The Carson City Airport Authority will meet at 6 p.m. today in the conference room at El Aero Services, 2102 Arrowhead Drive.
A workshop will focus on Title 19. This portion of the city's municipal code focuses primarily on airport rules and regulations.
Parks and Recreation meeting canceled
The Parks and Recreation Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled. The group's next meeting would be 5:30 p.m. March 20.
Carson River Advisory meeting called off
The Carson River Advisory Committee scheduled for Wednesday has been called off. The next scheduled meeting would be April 4.
Concert benefits MS
Tiffani Barber's grandmother has multiple sclerosis. For her Carson High School Senior Project, she's putting on a benefit concert at 7 tonight at the Carson City Community Center, with all the profit going toward combating MS.
Barber will sing and dance, and other acts will be by performers age 11-18 for prizes. It will also include a bake sale at intermission.
DDR Tournament at Library for teens
The Carson City Library will be hosting a Dance Dance Revolution tournament at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the library's auditorium. Teens in seventh through 12th grades are invited to come participate in this free tournament or to watch. Participants who are going to play should wear loose, but not baggy, clothing that is comfortable, and should not wear any chains of any sort. They should also wear shoes with socks. This tournament is part of Teen Tech Week. For information, call 887-2244.
Dog obedience classes start Tuesday
Instructor Guy Yeaman will be starting his next six-week session of dog obedience classes at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fuji Park Exhibit Hall. Dogs must be at least 4 months old and current on their shots; each dog needs a choke chain and a fabric or leather lead. Cost is $75. For information or to register, call 265-4530.

'Sssnakes Alive' to show at May Museum
The "Sssnakes Alive" family adventure nature exhibit, featuring dozens of live snakes, will be on display now through June 6 at the Wilbur D. May Museum at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park in Reno. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $5.50 for children. For information, call 785-5961.
