(Staff report) - Ely State Prison, Nevada's maximum security prison, was reported back to normal following a stabbing late last week.

Frankie Rucker, 57, is recovering in the Southern Nevada prison medical center at Indian Springs. He was serving two life sentences for sexual assault but was scheduled for a parole board review in March.

The institution, which houses the inmates considered most dangerous in Nevada's prison system, was locked down after the stabbing while officials investigated. Ely State Prison, located outside of Ely in eastern Nevada, holds about 1,000 inmates.
