A graveside service with military honors for F. Marie Hauser, 86, a Carson City resident since 2001, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.

Mrs. Hauser died March 5, 2007, in Carson City. She was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Huntington Beach, Calif., to H. Fornates and Mary Rampton.

She married Robert E. Hauser on Jan. 6, 1946, in Long Beach, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Hauser lived in Burlingame, Calif.

She served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

She supported the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and enjoyed traveling with her husband, including Europe and 24 trips to Hawaii.

Among her survivors are her husband, of Carson City; sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Randy Dick of Dayton; and several extended-family members and friends.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
