Stephanie Harper pitched a complete game three-hitter as the Douglas High softball team came back for a 5-3 win against Dayton at home on Tuesday.
Dayton jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning before Douglas scored four runs in the second to take a 4-2 lead. Sara Simmons hit a home run in the fourth to bring the Dust Devils to within 4-3, but Douglas held on.
Sierra Barnwell allowed five hits over six innings in going the distance for Dayton. Tisha Luke went 2-for-3, Emily Weaver and Donna Judd each had a hit and an RBI and Angella Stephenson had a hit for Douglas. Barnwell and Amanda Beard each had a hit for Dayton.

Virginia City overcame an 8-0 deficit to tie the game 8-8 in the fifth, but Silver Stage scored four in the sixth. The Muckers scored two in the seventh for the final margin as Silver Stage held on.
Shaye Segale had two hits and two RBI, Jamie Lyle, Brooke Bonnett, Alexa Ballinger and Gigi Glogovac all had a hit and an RBI and Krysta Olsen and Megan Culleton each added a hit for the Muckers.
