Virginia City softball drops four

VIRGINIA CITY DROPS FOUR

1A Virginia City went 0-4 in the Smith Valley Tournament, with all the losses coming to 2A schools. The Muckers lost to Lee Vining, Calif., 14-0, Hawthorne 8-0, Silver Stage 15-2 and Whittell 8-7.

Against Silver Stage, Krysta Olsen and Megan Culleton each had a hit. Virginia City trailed 8-0 against Whittell before its comeback attempt fell just short. Olsen was 1-for-1 with three runs, Culleton was 3-for-3 with two RBI, Shaye Segale was 1-for-1 with two RBI and Brooke Bonnett and Alexis Ballinger were each 1-for-3 with an RBI.
