The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• A factory worker from Carson City, was arrested at 11 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing. Bail was set at $237.
• Fred Ayres, 78, was arrested at 1:14 p.m. Monday on Nye Lane on suspicion of felony sex-offender failure to register. Ayres pleaded guilty Jan. 10, 2006, to open and gross lewdness stemming from allegations he sexually assaulted a 7-year-old and an 8-year-old in his laundry room, bedroom and shed in July 2002. Bail was set at $15,000.
• A 50-year-old certified nursing assistant was arrested at 10:10 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of South Roop Street on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.

• Commercial burglary reports in the 500 block of East Long Street at 6:43 a.m. and 2600 block of Lockheed Way at 9:43 a.m.
• Residential burglary report in the 200 block of East Hampton Drive at 9:59 a.m.
• A report of a fire started on the porch and a newspaper stand stolen from outside the Villa Basque Deli on Basque Way at 2:05 p.m.
• Vehicle burglary report in the 600 block of Mary Street at 9:19 p.m.
• Domestic battery reports on Roop Street and North Carson Street.
• Graffiti reports on Monte Rosa Drive and South Curry Street.

• Coroner call in the 300 block of Kathy Avenue at 5:23 p.m. in Yerington.
• Vehicle theft report in the 600 block of Canary Circle in Fernley at 6:51 a.m.
• Accident at Fernley High School at 7:31 a.m.
• Tree fire in the 10000 block of Highway 50 East in Mound House at 9:56 a.m.
• A report of possible stolen property in a backyard on Ring Road in Dayton at 2:58 p.m.
Storey County

• Arrest on Canyon Way in Lockwood at 4:01 p.m.
