The Douglas High softball team finished off a three-game sweep of Hug on Saturday, winning both games of a doubleheader.
Douglas (10-4, 3-0 in the Sierra League) won the opener 15-2 and the nightcap 12-6.
Stephanie Harper went the distance in the opener for the win as the game was called after five innings due to the mercy rule. Emily Weaver went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI, Lauren Hoppe was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, Tisha Luken was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBI, Katrina Morgan went 2-for-3 with three RBI, Harper was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Morgan Barone had a home run and an RBI, Marina Diaz and Angella Stephenson each had a hit and Donna Judd added an RBI.
In the nightcap, Dorothy Sliva was the winning pitcher. Weaver was 3-for-5 with an RBI, Stephenson had a hit and three RBI, Hoppe had a hit and two RBI, Diaz was 2-for-33 with a triple and an RBI, Sliva was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Kayla Moore had two hits and an RBI.
