A memorial service for Ruth E. Waller, 70, a Dayton resident since 1997, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Autumn Funerals and Cremations.
Mrs. Waller died March 24, 2007, at her home. She was born July 17, 1936, in Colusa, Calif., to Clarence and Ethel Osburn.
She graduated from Truckee High School. She married John Waller on July 23, 1954, in Truckee.
Mrs. Waller and her husband owned Osburn's Garage in Truckee.
Before moving to Dayton, Mrs. Waller lived in Truckee.
She was a member of the Dayton Valley Women's Golf Club and the Rebecca Lodge in Truckee. She enjoyed golfing, hiking, quilting, traveling, bicycling and card games.
She was preceded in death by brother Gene Osburn.
Among her survivors are her husband, of Dayton; daughters Jacqueline Loyola of Vallejo, Calif., and Debra McCann of Elk Grove, Calif.; sons Daniel Waller of Reno and Timothy Waller of Brentwood, Calif.; brothers Ken Osburn of Loyalton, Calif., and Jim Osburn of Pahrump; sister Kathy Anderson of Woodland, Calif.; eight grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew.
