A celebration of life for George E. Andrews, 71, a 34-year Carson City resident, will be 1-3 p.m. Monday at Empire Ranch Golf Course.
Mr. Andrews died March 24, 2007, in Reno. He was born May 18, 1935, in Chicago, to Doak Andrews and Mildred Lindstrom.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Andrews lived in Tujunga, Calif.
He was a retired engineer for the Nevada Department of Transportation, and served in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
He belonged to the Leisure Hour Club and the Empire Ranch Men's Golf Club.
He was preceded in death by wife, Janet Andrews, in 1990.
Among his survivors are longtime companion, Jo Matthews, of Carson City; daughters Rajena Andrews and Terri Sulli, both of Carson City; sons Jim Andrews of Carson City and Gary Andrews of Redmond, Ore.; sister Deanna Felix of Nevada; brothers Rod and Rick Andrews, both of California, and Jerry Andrews of Nevada; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
