Another injury may have cleared the way for Darrell Rasner to re-join the New York Yankees starting rotation.
Phil Hughes had to come out of Tuesday's game with Texas Rangers after injuring his hamstring. Hughes was working on a no-hitter with one out in the seventh inning when he had to come out of the game the Yankees eventually won 10-1. Hughes may be out for four to six weeks.
One logical scenario would have Rasner, a 1999 Carson High graduate, filling Hughes spot in the rotation on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners. Since being optioned to Triple A Scranton Wilkes/Barre, Rasner is 1-0 and hasn't allowed a run through eight innings in two appearances.
