The Western Nevada Community College baseball team won its first two games in the Scenic West Athletic Conference postseason tournament on Thursday at College of Southern Idaho, beating Colorado Northwestern 3-0 and Southern Idaho 5-0.
Jake Bottari pitched a complete game two-hitter against Colorado Northwestern and Cole Rohrbough allowed three hits and struck out nine over 8.2 innings against Southern Idaho.
WNCC will face the winner between Colorado Northwestern and Southern Idaho at 5 p.m. Friday. The Wildcats need one more win to advance to face the winner of the playoff at Community College of Southern Nevada next week in a best two-of-three series for the SWAC postseason title.
