A 36-year-old Fernley woman was taken to a Reno hospital by helicopter this morning after having been shot, according to a press release from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
Shelby Joanette was found wounded in the 3000 block of Farm District Road. Her condition is unknown at this time, police said.
According to scanner reports, police are looking for 35-year-old Michael Young of Las Vegas in connection with the shooting.
Deputies are looking for a silver 2006 Chrylser 300, Nevada license plate 714UHS, which was seen leaving the area and may be driven by Young.
He is described as approximately 6 feet tall, 175 pounds with a slender build. He has reddish-brown hair and a tattoo of flames on his right shoulder.
