Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church will host the Beene Family for two Gospel concerts Sunday - at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Marvin Dennis giving sermon, and at 6:30 p.m. for a full concert.
In 1997, the Beene Family followed a calling to sing after their father, who was a pastor, and mother introduced them to traditional Gospel music.
Brothers Shandon, Brandon and Landon Beene grew up in California City, Calif., where they were influenced and inspired by church work and the ministry.
While listening to their father's collection of music and seeing Gospel groups who traveled to the West Coast, the brothers realized they wanted their future to be in music.
Chrysta Branson's marriage to middle brother Brandon completed the family harmony. They are now a major force in Gospel.
"While their main focus is to see every lost person they come in contact with find salvation, the Beene family places of a great deal of emphasis on uplifting family entertainment," said Dennis.
"Their ministry is perfectly suited for the needs of their congregations. From sounds of traditional Gospel to inspirational, the music of the Beene family is the music of the church."
