Mary A. Solis, 66, a 34-year Gardnerville resident, died May 5, 2007.
Mrs. Solis was born June 10, 1940, in Ponderosa, N.M., to Elias and Liberty Maestas.
She grew up and attended school in Oakdale, Calif.
She married Pete Solis on Sept. 1, 1964, in Oakdale.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Mrs. Solis lived in San Jose, Calif.
She was a Jehovah's Witness, and enjoyed cooking and music.
Among her survivors are her husband, of Gardnerville; daughter Kathy Macellari-Solis of Gardnerville; foster son Henry Quezada; brother Mike Maestas of Modesto, Calif.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
