Spring has sprung, and suddenly Dayton has come to life again.
That's what always strikes me about this time of year. People are like bears, staying inside until the weather finally clears and neighbors reacquaint themselves again.
With spring, comes an array of activities.
We just had Oodles of Noodles last weekend. It was good to see everyone out enjoying the day and hearing from you.

Walk on! The women at Nevada State Bank braved less-than-perfect weather two weeks ago participating in the March of Dimes Walk America. They, together with the Carson City Smith's branch, raised more than $5,000. Community support helps everyone!

Citizens for Affordable Homes Inc. unveiled its newest rendition of the Citibank playhouse during Oodles of Noodles. This year's playhouse was designed by construction foreman Eric Machado and is by far the best and cutest ever.
He plans to add planter boxes and a loft, so look for that to progress. You can win the playhouse for a $2 ticket, or you can get six for $10 a book of 20 for $30. For tickets, call Toni VanCleave at CAHI, 883-7101. The playhouse will be on display at numerous community events throughout the season.
CAHI has also elected Tim Angello to the board. He is the regulatory-compliance manager with Eaglemark Saving Bank in Carson City. Prior to his current position, he was a compliance analyst with Harley-Davidson Financial Services Inc.
Those interested in serving on the board, which involves community service, volunteerism and having a say in how the affordable housing community grows, call Ron Trunk, CAHI's CEO, at 883-7101.
Have a great week, Dayton!
