Washoe tribe seeks information in equipment theft

The Carson Colony of the Washoe Indian Tribe is looking for information after the theft of more than $7,000 worth of tools and equipment earlier this month.

The tools belonged to members of the U.S. Air Force Reserves, who were building a new community center, when the equipment was stolen from a locked container between May 4-6.

The items taken were: a Miter saw, saw stand, compass saw, two Makita saws, three Paslode frame guns, a Paslode trim gun, a Delta Chop saw a Ryobi drill and a rammer, which is used to tamp down dirt.

A reward is being offered for information about the suspects or location of the equipment. Anyone with information is asked to call 265-7540 during the day or 782-9087 after hours. Callers can remain anonymous.
