Game Notes: Nevada, which can finish no worse than second place, enters the game having won six of its last seven and 11 of its last 14 games... Nevada can win the regular-season title if it can sweep the three-game series from the Spartans and if Hawai'i can sweep Fresno State ... San Jose has been a tough place for Nevada to win. The Spartans have won 11 of the last 15 meetings in the Bay Area ... Nevada first baseman Shaun Kort has an eight-game hitting streak, and in that span, he his hitting .500 with eight RBI. Walsh has hit in five straight games, and is batting .562 with a homer and four RBI. Schmidt has hit in four straight with an average of .312 in that stretch ... San Jose State is currently tied with Hawai'i for fourth place entering the final weekend ... Nevada swept the Spartans at Peccole Park earlier this year.
