A 29-year-old Carson City man has been arrested for allegedly punching his ex-girlfriend in the stomach and hitting her in the back of the head with her purse.
Albert William Buher was arrested Tuesday night by the Carson City Sheriff's Department on warrants for both battery and robbery, because officers say Buher kept the purse.
According to a sheriff's report, the woman told Buher around 11 p.m. on Monday she was leaving him.
Buher then allegedly made the woman leave a friend's apartment and walk down the road with him. Officers say Buher hit her when they got to the 400 block of South Saliman Road, where he was arrested the following day at his sister's home.
Buher is also facing a charge of kidnapping and is being held on $63,132 bail.
