Carson High School invites all veterans of the military services as well as blue star and gold star mothers to attend a recognition ceremony Friday in Senator Square. The 30-minute ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. with the presentation of colors by the Naval JROTC color guard and the singing of the national anthem by the high school choir, under the direction of Susan Sonnemaker. At the conclusion, Penny Reynolds' culinary arts students will serve refreshments in the school restaurant.

We encourage all veterans and moms attending and to wear their distinctive memorabilia, including organizational items from the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Marine Corps League, Navy League and other units.

We particularly invite those veterans who are former prisoners of war, as well as family members of those veterans who are classified as missing in action. For information, call the ROTC Unit at 283-1780.
