First Church of Christ Scientist will present a Christian Science lecture at 11 a.m. today at the church, 110 Clear Creek Ave.

The lecture is presented by Martha Moffett of Saint Paul, Minn., a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. The public is welcome to attend the lecture and learn life-changing truths based in the Bible and the teachings of Christ Jesus that will bring comfort, hope and healing. Childcare will be available. 'God is love' service today

The public is invited to learn how to attract more love in their life at a 10 a.m. worship service today at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

The "God is Love" service is sponsored by Eckankar, religion of the light and sound of During the one-hour service, a skilled facilitator will give a brief talk, with readings, a small-group discussion and a short contemplation.

'Joyful Noise' concert Sunday at 1st Christian

First Christian Church will present in concert Greg Strange at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, 2211 Mouton, off Conestoga.

Strange performs "Make a Joyful Noise" with funny songs, Bible stories and his own music ministry.
