A woman suffered minor injuries despite having to be cut from the wreckage of her vehicle following a near-head on collision Stagecoach.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen said the woman and her toddler were eastbound in a red Neon when the women began to drift into the oncoming westbound lanes.
Allen said a flatbed pick up swerved to avoid the Neon but was stuck in the rear axle on Highway 50 East in front of the Silver Springs Animal Shelter.
The truck driver was not injured.
An animal control worker pulled the still sleeping toddler out of the car, and Lyon County emergency crews cut the woman from her vehicle.
She is being flown to Renown Regional Medical Center as a precaution. The child will go with her, said Allen.
Expect delays in the area.
