Disney musical coming to Carson City


Wild Horse Theater Children's Theater, in collaboration with the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada is presenting Disney's, "High School Musical."


Performances will be 7 p.m. Friday and Dec. 7 and at 4 and 7 p.m. Dec. 1-2, 8-9 at the children's museum, 813 N. Carson St.


Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for students and seniors, and $5 for ages 12 and under. Children 3 and under are free if they are accompanied by an adult and do not occupy a seat.

Silver Strings offer holiday music


The Silver Strings quartet will play a free holiday music concert from 11:30-1 p.m. Friday at Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson St. Enjoy familiar carols and seasonal favorites with a lunch chosen from the array of imaginative sandwiches, salads, soups, and beverages on the Comma Coffee menu. Admission is free.

March of Dimes sponsors dining event Thursday


The Northern Nevada Division of the March of Dimes is bringing together 10 of Northern Nevada's finest chefs for the Signature Chefs of Northern Nevada, the premier dining event in the region. Top chefs will gather at 6 p.m. Thursday at Harrah's Reno, Convention Room.

Pops playing free concert


The Reno Pops Orchestra presents a family concert of holiday music at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at The Rock Church, 4950 Vista Blvd., Sparks. Favorite Christmas music includes Delius' "Sleigh Ride," LeRoy Anderson's "Christmas Festival," selections from Handel's "Messiah," and other seasonal favorites.


The Tintabulation Handbell Choir will join the orchestra for several selections.
