This is a final reminder that the Ormsby Sportsmen's Association (OSA) will hold its end-of-the-year banquet on Saturday evening, Dec. 1 at the Carson Nugget.
The evening will begin with a no-host cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30.
The cost to attend is $25 per person.
It will be a fun-filled evening of food, drinks, door prizes, raffles, live auctions, introductions, serious presentations, "the You Screwed Up award," "the Sure Shot award" and a "Skin's Drawing."
The serious presentations will include Fishing Awards by different categories.
The "You Screwed Up" award fis or the member who screwed up the worst during the year.
The "Sure Shot" award for the member who fired the most shots during the last hunting seasons.
The "Skin's Drawing" is a cash prize ($240) awarded only if you are a paid-up member and if you are present at the banquet. Just in time for buying Christmas gifts.
Also included on the evening's agenda will be the introduction of the club's newly-elected president and the introduction of the club's 2008 board of directors.
This will be last official OSA function of 2007.
The next OSA regular monthly meeting will be held at the Carson Nugget, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
All OSA meetings, functions and activities and are free of charge and open to all club members and to anyone else who is interested in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, etc.
The OSA annual membership dues are $5 for adults and $2 for youngsters under the age of 16.
