Storey County Fire Department looking for firefighters

The Storey County Fire Department is working with other agencies to find qualified candidates for firefighter and paramedica positions.

It is part of a collaborative testing for firefighter and firefighter/paramedic positions through the Northern Nevada Firefighter Interagency Recruitment and Examination. 

The consortium is administered by the Human Resource and fire departments of Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District, Central Lyon County Fire Protection Distric, Storey Count Fire Department, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, and the Carson City Fire Department.

The application period runs through 5 p.m. Oct. 26. Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a testing process scheduled for November 14-16 in Carson City, Nevada.

All applicants with certifications attached are to be submitted to the Carson City Human Resources Department no later than 5 p.m. October 26.
