"The Phantom of the Soap Opera," a mystery and a comedy is playing at the Brewery Arts Center Black Box, 449 West King Street. This murder mystery spoof of the famous "Phantom of the Opera" story features the CHS Capitol Stars and is the musical Halloween treat for the entire family. Plays Today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundayat 2 p.m. Tckets at KCHANDLER@carson.k12.nv.us, $9 for general admission, $7 for children and students (with a Student Body Card), and $8 for seniors and students.

Reveal your spooky side at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa's Free Halloween Celebration. Come dressed in your Halloween best for the Free Costume Contest and you could win your share of more than $3,000 in cash and prizes. Costume judging will take place at the Club Paradise Desk on Monday and Tuesday Oct. 29-30 from 8 a.m. to midnight or Wednesday Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. A total of 16 prizes will be given away at this year's costume contest in the following categories: Best Overall, Best Couple, Most Original, Scariest, Funniest and Casino Theme. 15th Annual Carson City Ghost Walk " Ever interview a dead person? The popular Carson City Ghost Walk features two different paths, "Eye of Newt" and "Toe of Frog." These guided, 90-minute walking tours take visitors along one-mile of the historic Kit Carson Trail.

This year's theme, "Something Wicked This Way Comes," has daring visitors touring haunted buildings and Victorian homes of Carson City's past. The tour also spotlights the "wicked" ones and outlaws from past centuries who still call the Wild West their home, playfully recreated by Elizabethan styled actors.

Carson City's Ghost Walk tours depart every half hour from Telegraph Square.

Not for the faint of heart -- visitors and residents daring enough to tour haunted buildings and Victorian homes of Carson City's past and to meet those who still reside in those buildings.

Principal architect of P-Funk, R&B musician and song writer George Clinton brings the Parliament Funkadelic to the South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe Saturday. Tickets include admission to VEX Nightclub for a George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic "After Party" following the show. You must be at least 21 years of age.

George Clinton is considered one of the greatest innovators of urban based, soul rock and funk music over the last forty years. Clinton was the mastermind of the two bands, Parliament and Funkadelic during the '70s and early '80s. The bands had their share of R&B hits, but realized greater success combined under the names "Parliament Funkadelic," creating the now-legendary supergroup, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic. Performing together, these two bands combined elements from Jimi Hendrix, Sly and the Family Stone, Cream and James Brown while exploring different sounds, technology and lyricism.

Four great artists, one incredible show, the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Revue is on stage at Harrah's Lake Tahoe Saturday Oct. 27. The Tommy Castro Band, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Magic Dick and Deanna Bogart join forces for an extraordinary evening of great blues and R&B. Late-Nite Productions offers the "Big Pimpin" Naughty Halloween Costume Party"at Whiskey Dick's Saloon, 2660 Lake Tahoe Blvd., in South Lake Tahoe Tuesday Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. Join people from all around the lake and beyond dressed in their Big Pimpin' and Naughty Costumes and ready to shake a tail feather. The "Lost and Found" film premiere is Friday Nov. 2 in the Celebrity Showroom at John Ascuaga's Nugget. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. Star Erik Roner will be on hand to introduce the show and sign autographs. Everyone will have a chance to win great prizes, such as clothing, ski passes and more.
