Three Carson City brothers were arrested Wednesday for allegedly beating their sister's boyfriend in defense of her honor.
According to the arrest report, the victim went to the hospital following the 7:30 a.m. assault at his home on North Lompa Lane.
Brothers, Hugo, 19, Hector, 20, and Jose Zambrano, 30, were all booked into the Carson City Jail on charges of felony burglary. Hector and Jose were additionally charged with misdemeanor battery, while Hugo was additionally charged with felony battery with a deadly weapon.
The victim told police he and his girlfriend had "got into a physical altercation" on Sunday, and on Tuesday, his girlfriend told him her brothers had found out.
On Wednesday about 7:30 a.m., the three brothers confronted the victim at his home and allegedly beat him in his living room.
"All three men began punching and kicking him," the report states. One of the men allegedly grabbed a hammer and struck the victim in the legs.
The victim was bruised on his face, neck, abdomen, back and leg.
Deputies located the brothers at their home on East Fifth Street, where Jose allegedly admitted his part.
"He deserved everything he got," the officer quoted Jose as saying. Hector allegedly said, "He got what he deserved. Don't mess with family."
Bail for both Hector and Jose was set at $26,132. Hugo's bail was set at $30,000.
