Richard Schweiss didn't have much of a chance at life, but his headstone

made it all the way to Boise.

Richard's memorial, a wooden tombstone commemorating the death of the

4-month-old in Virginia City in 1887, was taken from the Silver Terrace

Cemetery back in 1960, by a teenager camping out in the area. He put it in

his mother's garage and forgot about it.

Marilou Walling, chief administrative official for Storey County, said the

headstone was shipped back this week, and members of the Virginia City

Cemetery Foundation are working hard to find out where in the graveyard it

belongs.
