A funeral service for Dean Fred, 58, a lifelong resident of Woodfords, Calif., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stewart Baptist Church in Carson City.
Mr. Fred died Sept. 17, 2007, in Woodfords. He was born Sept. 18, 1948, to Duman Fred and Vernita Wade. He married Ronda Fred. He attended Douglas High School. He was a union painter.
He was preceded in death by his father June 20, 2003; his mother in October 1978; and brother David on Oct. 18, 1979.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; daughters Lawanda Fred of Gardnerville, Sylvia Fred of Lawrence, Kan., Lisa Fred and Marsha Fred both of Carson City, Cassandra Fred of Woodfords; sons Chris Fred and LV Fred of Carson City, and Freddie Fred of White River, Ariz.; sisters Charlene Fred and Andrea Fred of Woodfords; and 18 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Woodfords Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
