Carson Supervisor Robin Williamson has endorsed Hillary Clinton's campaign for president.

"She is an intelligent, articulate and effective leader who can meet our national and international challenges," said Williamson in a prepared statement.

She said she believes Clinton has demonstrated the ability to bring different groups together to get things done.

Williamson said she will work to mobilize support for the New York senator's campaign in the Carson City area.

Clinton Nevada Chairman Rory Reid praised Williamson's service to the capital and her advocacy on behalf of Carson residents.

Williamson has lived in Carson City since 1990 and has been active in a long list of organizations from the Open Space Advisory Committee to the American Youth Soccer Organization and Carson-Tahoe Hospital Auxiliary.
