A Carson City man was jailed Sunday night after he allegedly fondled a woman and then offered her money for sex.
German Trejos Garcia, a 31-year-old construction worker, was booked into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony battery with intent to commit sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, misdemeanor soliciting or engaging in prostitution, and probation violation.
According to the arrest report, a woman was playing a slot machine at a Carson Street convenience store at about 9 p.m. when Garcia sat next to her and watched her play.
When the woman got up to leave, Garcia allegedly followed her outside.
Once there, the report states, Garcia grabbed the woman by her arm and pulled her to him, telling her he had a question. Then he ordered her to sit on some stairs where he tried to kiss her. When she got up to leave, Garcia allegedly pulled down her sweat pants. As she walked away he offered her money for sex.
When questioned by police, Garcia told investigators he sat with the woman and watched her play the machine, and when he got up to leave she followed him. He said they walked for awhile and he offered her one of the two beers he'd just bought, which she drank. When she sat next to him he put his tongue in her ear and she told him to stop and she stood up.
"He said he was drunk and when he went to stand up, he accidentally grabbed her pants and pulled them down," Detective Dena Lacy wrote in the report.
Garcia did not deny offering the woman money for sex, according to the report.
His bail was set at $41,132.
