Galena High's Luke Babbitt has received another All-American honor in boys basketball, this time for EA Sports.
Babbitt, who will attend the University of Nevada next year, was among 18 seniors and two juniors to be named to the EA Sports All-American team. Babbitt was also named to the McDonald's and Parade All-American squads.
This past season for Galena, Babbitt averaged 31.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and two steals per game. Babbitt, who carries a 3.95 grade point average and devotes a great deal of time to community service, also led Galena to the NIAA 4A State Championship as junior.
He was also named the Gatorade State Player of the Year as a junior and senior. In addition, Babbitt set the state's all-time career scoring record with 2,941 points.
