RENO " An earthquake has shaken buildings in downtown Reno but there are no immediate reports of damage, the Associated Press is reporting.
The U.S. Geological Survey Service reports a 4.1 magnitude quake that hit just before 4 p.m. today was centered four miles west-northwest of Reno.
It shook The Associated Press bureau on the fifth floor of a downtown Reno building for about 30 seconds, causing the building to sway briefly and overhead televisions to swing back and forth.
USGS says it follows a 3.8 magnitude trembler at 3:47 p.m. and a 2.6 event at 3:51 p.m.
The quakes are in an area where several smaller temblors have been centered in recent weeks.
