Tahoe teens charged with 99 felonies

South Lake Tahoe - Three teenagers who allegedly burglarized local businesses and targeted windows with BB guns and rocks during the past month have been charged with 99 felonies, according to a nine-page criminal complaint filed Wednesday in El Dorado Superior Court.

The complaint charges Joshua Spier, 18, with 14 counts of burglary and 21 counts of vandalism to South Shore businesses from March 10 to April 19.

Ryan Withnell, 19, is charged with 15 counts of burglary and 24 counts of vandalism.

John Stewart, 19, is charged with 11 counts of burglary and 10 counts of vandalism.

Stewart, who allegedly was found with a dagger, is also charged with possession of a deadly weapon in the complaint. All three have been charged with a single felony count of conspiracy for the alleged crimes, which targeted 20 local businesses.
