RENO " Nevada gas prices have dropped back to where they were before a staggering increase began five months ago.
AAA Nevada reports the average price for a gallon of gas in the state now stands at $3.90. That's down a full 35 cents from last month, about the same it was in May and about a dime more than the national average.
In the Reno-Sparks area, the average price at the pumps has fallen about 33 cents since last month to $3.83. In Carson City, its down 29 cents to $3.87.
The highest priced gas in Nevada is in Elko, where the average has dropped only a nickel since last month to the current average of $4.44.
Henderson reports an average of $3.87, down 39 cents from a month ago. The price in Las Vegas has fallen 39 cents to $3.84
