Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding a vehicle found Wednesday submerged in Lake Lahontan with a body inside.
David Jones from the Department of Public Safety Investigative Division said the discovery was made about noon Wednesday in the spillway at the dam, in the northeast part of the reservoir.
The vehicle was pulled from the lake, and Jones said it appeared the vehicle had been there for some time. The gender of the body has not been released.
KRNV in Reno was reporting that the vehicle was registered to person missing out of Fernley since January.
Nevada State Park officials are heading the investigation
More information is expected to be released today.
