Two men were injured today trying to retrieve the truck of a friend who got it stuck in the mountains between Goni Road and Storey County.
Carson City rescuers were called out to McLellan Peak at 11:18 a.m. after a caller reported finding a Ford F250 on its roof 1800 feet below the radio towers.
As Carson City resources made their way up Goni Road, Storey County rescuers entered from the east and discovered the vehicle was actually within their county lines.
Two unnamed men were found conscious, but injured. One was taken from the scene by ambulance and another was flown by helicopter, both heading to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
