Here is a list of activities, events and exhibits to take in over the Labor Day Weekend in the Carson City area.

CARSON CITY

Carson City Downtown Family Events (Pop Up Park), 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Telegraph Square, Third and South Curry streets.

Includes bouncy houses, face painting, karate and dance demonstrations, arts and crafts, story time.

Hot Summer Swing, 7:30-10:30 p.m., Saturday Brewery Arts Center Grand Ballroom, 449 W. King St. The High Sierra Swing Dance Club is the host for West Coast swing, East Coast swing, ballroom, country, Latin. Music provided by DJ Joel Johnson. No partner needed. $7 for club members (including sister clubs) and $10 for nonmembers. Call 775-546-6154.

Praise in the Park, noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at Mills Park pavilions B and C, 1111 E. William St.

Bring a lawn chair and a friend for praise and worship. Features live music, food, air toys for the kids, dunk tank, volleyball contest, horseshoe contest, train rides, skate park, clowns and more.

Antique and Collectible Show, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of North C. Street. Miscellaneous items for sale; proceeds benefit Virginia City Fire Department.

Comstock Labor Lecture: Noon-1 p.m., Ramada Virginia City, 100 N. E St., Virginia City. Nevada State Archivist Guy Rocha speaks about Labor on the Comstock. Reservations preferred. Call 775-229-1818.

Monday

Virginia City Labor Day Parade: Noon-1 p.m., C Street, Virginia City. Parade features grand marshal Lucy Bouldin, Storey County Library director, along with clowns, veterans groups, Civil War volunteers, equestrian acts, classic cars and more. Call 847-4386.

Out of the Closet: Kaitty Holland Clothing Exhibit, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Historic Fourth Ward School Museum, 537 S. C St. The Kaitty Holland Collection includes her mother's 1870 Virginia City wedding dress, day dress and numerous ensembles demonstrating the clothing and style of an 1870-1890 Comstock miner's wife.
